Two hand-knotted wool rugs. A. One Afghan, Boukhara design circa 1980, in wool velvet on wool foundation. Brick field with eight rows of three guhls (stylized elephant paws). Comb and hook border, good overall condition, 160 x 112 cm. The second carpet, a fine old Bukhara (Turkmen) Tekke from the late 19th century, in wool velvet on wool foundations, with six rows of three guhls on a brick field. Good condition, 113 x 87 cm.
