Large Indo Heriz rug, Iran, circa 1980. Wool velvet on cotton backing. Garnet-red field with polychrome geometric floral decoration, adorned with a large central medallion of multicolored starry flowers, and four ivory spandrels with decoration reminiscent of the central medallion, the five borders including the main parma one with interlacing bulbs and geometrically stylized flower buds. Good condition, 273 x 230 cm.
