Armand Jules LE VEEL (1821-1905) & SUSSE Frères. French school of the 19th century. Important black patina bronze, "Porte drapeau de la 32ème demi-brigade en 1794", titled "32 DEMI BRIGADE", foundry stamp "SUSSE Frères" on the base, annotation "UN CONTRE DIX" on the flag, h 80 cm. A rare specificity sought after by certain enthusiasts: at a time when workers were not always well educated, the SUSSE workshops made the mistake of signing LEVELL, which in no way detracts from the quality and quest for perfection of the details on this splendid work, well commissioned by the French artist Armand Jules LE VEEL.
