LE CORBUSIER (1887-1965) & CASSINA (publisher) Continuously adjustable chaise longue, model LC4, first published by Cassina circa 1965, fully restored to original condition. Supporting structure in matt black lacquered metal, seat in chromed tubular steel upholstered in high quality, thick, tensile and wear-resistant Héssian canvas, hand-woven and lined with linen, original leather recovered and camel brown in color. Base signed "Cassina", stamped "M" and "Le Corbusier", tubular steel also signed, justified "LC 4" and numbered 46466 (also engraved inside the tubular steel and noted during restoration). Dimensions: 83 x 160 x 56 cm. This first edition from 1965 (created by three great designers, Le Corbusier, Pierre Jeanneret and Charlotte Perriand) has been restored, including the chromes, and is in exceptional condition, with the original leathers showing a very slight patina of use. Delivery to Paris free of charge.
